Voices of Deakin watch party
Event description
The CIP Convention has over 30 amazing speakers from across the community independent movement, talking about a wide range of topics including Beyond the Ballot: Next Steps for Communities Taking Action, All In: People Powered Politics is for Everyone and Pushback: Communities Combatting Disinformation.
This is a great opportunity to learn, connect, and think about how we can make our local community even better, and inch ever closer towards getting an independent MP in the seat of Deakin.
Our aim is to bring together a friendly group of community-minded folk to watch the convention sessions together in a relaxed environment, and then chat about how we can put what we learn into action and achieve real, positive change for Deakin.
The Voices of Deakin Steering Committee is hosting the watch party for Voices of Deakin members and volunteers from 8:40 AM to 5:20 PM. The convention commences at 9am sharp, so please ensure you arrive with plenty of time to get settled, make yourself comfortable and find out how the day will work before it kicks off.
It's going to be a thought-provoking, engaging day and we'd love you to join us.
