2025 Denmark Sustainable House Day

Field Trip to Abbe and Mike's sustainable Denmark home in Shadforth ‘2023 Award for Excellence in Energy Efficiency - Master Builders Great Southern’

Location: 31 Pittam Way, Shadforth 

Meeting 1.45pm for a 2pm start. Tour 2-3pm followed by Q&A over afternoon tea (provided). Event finishes 3.30pm

Abbe and Mike’s home is ‘totally electrified’ and we will be taken on a home energy tour looking at functioning PV systems, battery storage + inverter, solar passive design, water heating, home heating, induction stovetop and more. We will be exploring the finances, practicalities and behavior changes of ‘making the switch’ (from non-renewables to electric) and discussing the difference in living off-grid.
