2025 End of Year Celebration - Down Syndrome NSW

Join us as we come together to celebrate the end of another amazing year.

This is a time for everyone, people of all cultures, faiths and backgrounds, to relax, connect and enjoy the festive season in whatever way is meaningful to you.

Whether you celebrate Christmas, other cultural, spiritual or seasonal festivals, or simply enjoy this time of year as a chance to rest, reflect and connect with others, this event is about community, friendship and gratitude.

This special event is for adults and children with Down syndrome, their families, friends and supporters - everyone who makes our community shine!

Let’s share food, laughter and good company as we wrap up the year together and look forward to the new one ahead.

The event will be held in the beautiful new public space of the Art Gallery of NSW, Mike Hewson’s The Key is Under the Mat.

Mike Hewson brings his unique and boundary-testing brand of social sculpture to the Nelson Packer Tank under the Art Gallery of NSW, creating a playground for adults and kids alike. It features interactive art pieces and play equipment, including water play. Don’t worry, towels are provided for visitors to dry off afterwards, but bring some spare clothes just in case!

Have fun, grab a bite to eat and enjoy a special visit from Santa before the music begins. As the evening falls, the DJ will start and a dance party will see out the night. Move, groove and celebrate the year that was!
