2025 Family Colour Fun Run

 When: Saturday, 22 March 2025 @ 2pm

 Where: Please ensure you arrive by 2pm for the event safety briefing.

 What to bring:

• Wear white clothes that can get wet and colourful
• Enclosed shoes that can wet and dirty
• Eye protection (see below)
• Sunscreen
• A towel and a change of clothes 
• Named water pistols / Super Soakers 
• Water bottle 
• Hat 

Food and refreshments will be available throughout the event. P&C will have the smoker cooking up pulled pork burgers, fries and snags, and will be operating a Snow Cone machine, together with alcoholic and non-alcohol beverages also. 

Wrist bands: You will need to exchange your ticket/s for a wrist band before the fun run. You can do this either:

• Friday 21st March: From the school hall between 2:30-3:30pm
• Saturday 22nd March: From the registration tent any time from 1:30pm- 3pm

Eye protection: All participants in the fun run will require eye protection such as sunglasses. You can bring your own form home or purchase here. You can collect your pre-purchased sunglasses from the school hall on Friday 21st March or on the day form the registration tent. 

Groupings for the Colour Fun Run: We will be coordinating the groups in manageable age ranges to ensure the children are running with their friends. 

We do welcome younger siblings that aren't yet of school age to participate. Please ensure you register them as part of your family ticket. They will be grouped with prep children on the course. They will have the opportunity to have parents watch and support them where necessary. We will also have an adults and older siblings group race for older siblings, parents, caregivers and school staff. The children really enjoy the payback of spraying us with colour. Adults are included in any family ticket.

Waiver - must be accepted on checkout: We require all families to read and accept the waiver as part of your terms and conditions for your family to participate. This will be displayed at checkout. 

A couple of key safety tips: Please ensure you advise your children it is a fun run, not a race. Some obstacles may appear tricky or difficult for some children. They can run around any components and continue on the run. We will ask that any children who are NOT part of the selected group on the course at any time, please remain on the top oval. This will ensure we meet our safety requirements and allow children on the course to enjoy their experience. 

Our great team from YMCA will be there helping out on the day. They will be our Safety Marshalls on the course and they will also be setting up some novelty activities/games on the top oval to provide some entertainment for children pre and post their fun run session. We also would like to acknowledge their generous support in donating the sausages for our BBQ on the day. A big thank you YMCA!
