Melanoma Institute Australia is pleased to invite you to our educational breakfast for Skin Cancer Doctors and GPs with an interest in skin cancer medicine.

Co-hosted by A/Prof Sydney Ch’ng (Plastic and Head & Neck Surgeon) and A/Prof Alexander van Akkooi (Surgical Oncologist), our engaging breakfast session will feature multidisciplinary experts discussing the latest updates in melanoma diagnosis and treatment across the disease spectrum.

  • Dermoscopic clues in the diagnosis of amelanotic melanoma, Prof Pascale Guitera (Dermatologist, MIA)
  • Surgical management of melanoma and melanoma in-situ, A/Prof Robyn Saw (Surgical Oncologist, MIA)
  • Changing melanoma treatment landscape and neoadjuvant therapy update, A/Prof Alexander van Akkooi (Surgical Oncologist, MIA)
  • Interactive case study breakout discussion, led by A/Prof Paul Fishburn (Skin Cancer GP, University of QLD
  • An update on the Targeted Screening Program, Prof Anne Cust (Epidemiologist, MIA and the Daffodil Centre)
  • Genetic testing for melanoma: What GPs need to know, A/Prof Linda Martin (Dermatologist, MIA) and Dr Jack Dong (Cancer Geneticist, NSW Health)
  • Supporting a patient and family through diagnosis, Dr Lisa Gomes (Psychologist, MIA)
  • Fireside chat discussion, Led by Dr William Shepperd (Skin Cancer GP, MIA)

This program will conclude with a quiz where you’ll have the chance to win a dermatoscope from HEINE.
