2025 Instrument Hire

Please complete payment for Instrument hire and agree to the terms below.

The College will provide an instrument for your child to use whilst they are a member of the music program. The following conditions will apply to hiring the instrument:

The charge for this instrument is per semester. Payment is required in advance. 

Instruments must be returned by the end of the semester otherwise the next semester’s fees will apply. If a student discontinues lessons or changes instruments, the original instrument must be returned to the Music Administrator immediately.

The instrument is in perfect working order. The hirer must take all steps necessary to minimise or prevent loss or damage to the instrument and will be responsible for any damages and replacement costs should it be lost or stolen.

In the event that the instrument is lost or in the event of a burglary or theft, the hirer will claim from their insurer for the replacement of the instrument or replace it at their expense.

The hirer is to ensure that if the instrument is of significant value that it is covered by their house insurance contents policy.

The hirer agrees to notify the Head of Music immediately of any loss or damage incurred to the instrument. In the event of burglary the police must be notified immediately and a police report number supplied to the Head of Music within 24 hours of loss.

It is expected that the instrument be cleaned on a regular basis.

Auxiliary requirements such as reeds and valve oil are the hirer’s responsibility.

The instrument remains the property of the College and must be returned to the College immediately at the conclusion of the hire period or if your child leaves the College.

It is a condition upon hire that the student not only takes instrumental tuition, but avails themselves for school ensembles when ready.
