The One Health approach recognizes that a healthy mind is intrinsically linked to a healthy body, healthy animals, and a healthy planet. Environmental stressors like climate change, pollution, and habitat loss can directly impact human mental health, leading to increased rates of anxiety, depression, and stress. Similarly, the health and well-being of animals, including companion animals, livestock, and wildlife, can significantly affect human psychological states.

Kansas City One Health Day is our local celebration. The annual event is a collaboration by K-State, BioNexus KC, the KU Edwards Campus and University of Kansas Medical Center.
