Men's High-Performance ticket
Surfers wanting to compete in this division are advised that the "High Performance longboard" comes different criteria from the traditional LOGGER PRO.
Total Prize Money = $3,000 (split between Men & Women $1,500 each prize pool)
Athletes can use any board with any fin set up, any outline, shape and material, any weight as long as measurements are represented below:
Minimum 50" combined (1+2+3)
1. Nose width @ 12" from the nose
2. Widest (middle)
3. Tail width @ 12" from the tail
NOTE: It is important to note that judges will be scoring with an emphasis on certain elements which is contingent upon the location and conditions on the day, as well as changes to conditions during the day. Athletes are to perform different maneuvers on the wave, combination refers to choice of maneuvers and the order they are done as well as the choice of equipment.
Judges will specifically be looking for athletes to attack the lip with a combination of speed, power, flow, commitment, and visual appeal. Traditional nose rides, whilst part of the criteria, will not score higher than progressive surfing.
