2025 Norman Clarke Concert - Year 5 and Premier Ensembles
Event description
The Norman Clarke Concert is the flagship music event of St Joseph’s College, Gregory Terrace, showcasing the exceptional talent of our Premier Ensembles. Each performance today is the result of countless hours of dedication, growth, and collaboration. From their first notes in Year 5 to the heights of ensemble excellence, these students embody the College’s strong musical tradition.
This annual concert celebrates not only musical achievement but also the enduring legacy of Mr Norman Clarke (GT54), whose generous contributions laid the foundation for our rich music program. Thanks to his vision, every student in Years 5 and 6 has the opportunity to learn an instrument, sing, and study music theory as part of the curriculum — an experience that fosters both discipline and joy. The instruments used in the program were donated by Mr Clarke, whose belief in the value of music in education continues to shape our community.
Mr Clarke sadly passed away in April 2023. We honour his memory by continuing to nurture the musical journeys of our students and ensuring that music remains a vital part of life at Terrace.
