January 23 & 24 | Virtual over Zoom

  • Theme: Season Extension and Storage Crops
  • Vegetable Topics: bulb onions; winter squash and pumpkins
  • Management Topics: storage crop equipment and facilities; value-added processing and marketing for the off-season
  • Social XLV Sessions: Tribal food boxes; packshed adaptations & tools

January 31 & February 1 | In-Person in Madison, WI

  • Vegetable Topics: salad greens, beans, bulb onions, Brussels sprouts
  • Management Topics: irrigation automation, farmworker perspectives on communication & delegation, pest control, enterprise profitability
  • General Sessions: supporting mid-season rest, low & no-till practices, successful vegetable varieties, and much more
  • After Party and Farm Swag Swap on Friday night - an annual OVPC tradition!

Farmer panelists representing small, mid, and larger scale operations cover technical production information supported by Extension and other Ag Professionals.

The Organic Vegetable Production Conference is hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Extension Dane County, in partnership with FairShare CSA Coalition, Iowa State University Extension & Outreach, and the Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems.
