2025 | Preparatory School Parent Volunteer Induction Session

Dear Preparatory School Parents and Carers,
 
Volunteers form a vital part of our school community, not only supporting learning at Prince Alfred College but also providing a wonderful connection to our families and their diverse set of skills and experiences on a regular basis. Whether listening to reading, sharing a passion, or assisting on excursions, we are keen to have you volunteer at PAC!
 
We will be running a Parent Volunteer Induction session next Friday 21 March from 8.30am to 9.30am in the Ashton Room. Mrs Fiona Howat, Inclusive Education Coordinator, will guide you through the expectations of working with boys in our reading programme and go through our PAC Volunteer Guidelines. The PAC Volunteer Guidelines agreement needs to be signed by parents wishing to support boys in this role. In addition, in line with the updated legislation in South Australia, volunteers must complete a ‘Working with Children Check’ (WWCC).  You can use the link below to access the online forms; as a volunteer there is no cost for your screening: https://www.dcsiscreening.sa.gov.au/SCRequestApplicationIndividual.
