Event description

This year we are proud to offer the online interactive Awards Ceremony completely FREE!

This important event recognises the achievements in LGBTQ+ inclusion across the health, wellbeing, human services, and community care sector across Australia, measured through the Health + Wellbeing Equality Index (HWEI).

Awards will be given to the Gold Service Providers, Most Improved Service Provider, and Service Provider of the Year. We will also announce our exciting individual awards: LGBTQ+ Inclusive Innovation Award and the new Executive Leadership Award!

Celebrate, learn, and be inspired by best practice, innovation, and person-centred care with us at the 2025 Pride in Health + Wellbeing Awards!

The Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care has sponsored the Pride in Health + Wellbeing Awards for 4 years running. Our vision is better health and wellbeing for all Australians, now and for future generations. We work to deliver an affordable, quality health and aged care system and better health, ageing and sport outcomes for all Australians.

In December 2024, the Australian Government released the National Action Plan for the Health and Wellbeing of LGBTIQA+ people 2025-2035 (Action Plan). The Action Plan provides a national framework to guide how Australia addresses LGBTIQA+ health and wellbeing disparities and make improvements across the health system.  We are also committed to being an inclusive, culturally aware, and responsive employer through our workplace policies and practices. Program initiatives are continually implemented to broaden diversity and inclusion in our workplace.

Hunter, New England and Central Coast Primary Health Network (HNECC PHN) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing health and social care services across the Hunter, New England and Central Coast regions. By addressing local healthcare needs and supporting primary care providers, HNECC PHN works to improve community wellbeing. Collaborating with stakeholders like ACON, it develops initiatives that enhance health and social care access and outcomes.

Committed to diversity and inclusion, HNECC PHN stands in solidarity with LGBTQIA+ communities, fostering an environment where all individuals are valued and discrimination is actively challenged. Its LGBTQIA+ Ally Collaborative ensures meaningful action in promoting inclusivity. Sponsoring the 2025 Innovation in Inclusion Award further strengthens its partnership with ACON while supporting primary care and LGBTQIA+ communities, reinforcing its commitment to equity and representation.
