The Sisters of Our Lady of Sion (Australia) and the Council of Christians and Jews (Victoria) invite you to the Sr Rosalie Hanley NDS Conversation for 2025: Nostra Aetate in Our Time: An Invitation to Encounter. This will feature Dr Emmanuel Nathan (ACU) and Dr Simon Holloway (Melbourne Holocaust Museum), with an introduction by Sr Mary Raeburn NDS. 2025 marks the 60th anniversary of this groundbreaking Vatican II document, originally intended to be a statement about the Catholic Church’s relationship with Judaism; its scope, however, broadened to include Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism. Nostra Aetate invited Catholics to consider their relationship with people from other faith traditions. What does Nostra Aetate offer us today? How does it speak to our times? How does it invite us to a place of encounter with people of faith and with people with no religious affiliation?
