Join Us for an Egg-citing Easter Celebration!

Looking for the perfect way to celebrate Easter with your family? Don’t miss the Royal Hobart Hospital Research Foundation’s annual Easter Egg Hunt – a day full of fun, laughter and plenty of Easter eggs!

This year’s event will take place on the beautiful Government House Lawns, where children can follow exciting clues to uncover their very own bag of Easter eggs.

The fun kicks off at 10:00 AM and runs until 2:00 PM! Staggered entry times are in place—select your preferred session (10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, or 12:00 PM) when booking and ensure you arrive at your allocated time. Once inside, you’re welcome to stay and enjoy the festivities until the event concludes at 2:00 PM. 

More Than Just an Egg Hunt!

The fun doesn’t stop at the hunt! Enjoy face painting, balloons, live entertainment, delicious food, coffee and lawn games throughout the day. Plus, keep an eye out for a special visit from our eggs-traordinary guest of honour – The Easter Bunny! Bring a picnic and soak up the festive atmosphere.

Key Event Details

  • Entertainment for the Whole Family
  • Treasure Hunt: Children (4-14) will receive a bag of Easter eggs upon completing the treasure hunt!
  • Participant Age Restriction: The Easter Egg Hunt is only open to children aged 4 to 14 years old.
  • Guardian Requirement: Participating children must be accompanied by a responsible guardian (18+) who has purchased an adult ticket. The guardian must be the child’s parent, legal guardian, or responsible person.
  • Easter Egg Allergy Warning: The provided Easter eggs contain milk and soy and may contain traces of wheat, egg, peanuts, and tree nuts.
  • Staggered Entry Times: When purchasing a ticket, you must choose a specific entry time (10am, 11am or 12 noon). You must arrive at your allocated time on the day of the event.
  • Online Ticket Sales: End at 12 noon on Wednesday, 16 April 2025No tickets will be sold at the gate.
  • Entry Requirement: All attendees must present their ticket at the gate to enter the event. Adults must purchase a ticket.
  • Official Entry Stamp: All participants must have an official Easter Egg Hunt entry stamp clearly marked on their hand. Hunt entry stamps will only be issued to children who meet the guardian requirements.
  • One Hunt Per Child: Each participant may only enter one Easter Egg Hunt session (Group A or Group B).
  • Photography & Promotion: Photos/videos may be taken during the event for promotional purposes. Participation implies consent.
  • Weather Policy: The event will proceed rain or shineNo refunds will be issued due to wet weather. However, if high winds pose a safety risk, the event may be canceled at the discretion of Government House, and ticket holders will be notified via email.
  • Smoke-Free Event: This is a smoke-free event.
  • Terms & Conditions: By purchasing a ticket, you confirm that you have read and accept the event Terms & Conditions

Ticket Prices (excluding GST and ticketing fees)

  • Child (4 to 14 years old): $25
  • Adult: $12 (Adults do not receive a bag of Easter eggs.)
  • Family (2 adults and 2 children): $60
  • Children under 4: Free (but please order a ticket to let us know they are coming; these children will NOT receive a bag of Easter eggs).

Important Notes:

  • Children under 4 must have a FOC ticket and will not receive a bag of Easter eggs.
  • Guardians accept responsibility for the safety and personal possessions of themselves and the children they accompany.
  • All participants and guardians must follow event rules and instructions given by event organisers and volunteers.
