The 2025 SA CVRN Research Showcase and Awards celebrates the depth and diversity of cardiovascular research across South Australia.
Held on Monday 1 December 2025 at Festival Tower, Flinders University, this full-day event will bring together clinicians, researchers, policy leaders, and community voices to explore the latest advances, challenges, and opportunities in cardiovascular health.
This year’s program features:
An opening plenary delivered by the Distinguished Service Award winner for 2024, Professor John Beltrame, on coronary vasomotor disorders
Discussions on the psychological impacts of cardiovascular events
Updates on emerging scientific advances including atherosclerosis, atrial fibrillation, autonomic dysfunction, and diabetic complications
Insights into AI and digital innovation in cardiovascular diagnostics
Poster sessions and networking opportunities during breaks
A lively debate on cardiovascular risk awareness and screening
Translational research presentations highlighting community-based impact
An oral research prize session, featuring presentations from the top four submitted abstracts
The day will conclude with the SA CVRN Research Awards Ceremony, recognising excellence and innovation in cardiovascular research.
