2025 SA CVRN Showcase Research Showcase & Awards Ceremony

The 2025 SA CVRN Research Showcase and Awards celebrates the depth and diversity of cardiovascular research across South Australia.

Held on Monday 1 December 2025 at Festival Tower, Flinders University, this full-day event will bring together clinicians, researchers, policy leaders, and community voices to explore the latest advances, challenges, and opportunities in cardiovascular health.

This year’s program features:

• An opening plenary delivered by the Distinguished Service Award winner for 2024, Professor John Beltrame, on coronary vasomotor disorders

• Discussions on the psychological impacts of cardiovascular events

• Updates on emerging scientific advances including atherosclerosis, atrial fibrillation, autonomic dysfunction, and diabetic complications

• Insights into AI and digital innovation in cardiovascular diagnostics

• Poster sessions and networking opportunities during breaks

• A lively debate on cardiovascular risk awareness and screening

• Translational research presentations highlighting community-based impact

• An oral research prize session, featuring presentations from the top four submitted abstracts

The day will conclude with the SA CVRN Research Awards Ceremony, recognising excellence and innovation in cardiovascular research.
