Thu, 1 May, 6:30pm - 11:30pm ACST

Event description

May Day is the international day of worker solidarity, and we invite you to gather with us for a delicious dinner, lively conversation, and powerful community building.

Our dinner will feature a locally-sourced menu. We will also have a cash-only bar with beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase.

Throughout the evening, we will have a variety of speakers and performers sharing stories and songs of the wins and struggles of working people.

This is an opportunity to connect with others who are passionate about fighting for a more equitable and just world, celebrating the power of collective action.

Limited spaces available, so be sure to reserve your spot early!

We look forward to celebrating May Day with you!

Unwaged Tickets

We're in a cost of profits crisis, and not every comrade could afford to join us for dinner even if they want to.

With the proud support of Lieschke and Weatherill Lawyers, they've helped to ease the burden on comrades, who are out of work, retired or not receiving a regular wage to come share a meal with their comrades, and celebrate May Day!

Honouring Union Legends: The May Day Awards

Each year, the SA May Day Collective recognises individuals who have made a significant contribution to the workers’ movement. Nominations are now open for:

🏆 The Spanner Award – Celebrating a lifelong commitment to working people and the May Day Collective. This award honours those who have dedicated their lives to the fight for workers’ rights.

🔥 The Trailblazer Award – Recognising rank-and-file unionists who have never been employed by a union but have been instrumental in their workplace and community activism.

Do you know someone deserving of these honours? Submit your nomination today!

The Spanner and May Day Trailblazer Award will be presented at the May Day Dinner on Thursday 1 May.

Thank you – we are looking forward to receiving your nominations to recognise wonderful comrades in our Union Movement!
