2025 Scouts Aotearoa Christchurch Mudslide Day

Every year Scout Groups across the country set aside a day to go sliding down wet soapy hillsides into puddles of muddy water.  Why would we do such a thing one might ask? Because it’s a lot of fun! So come along and join us and get a taste of just how awesome Scouting is! This event is open to all, both young and young-at heart, regardless of whether you are a Scout or not! All children must be supervised by a parent/caregiver at all times. 

Wear old clothes that can get muddy and closed-toe shoes (old sneakers work a treat!). There will be food and drinks available to purchase at the event as well, including sausage sizzles, cold drinks, coffee, ice creams and The PretzelBox. Please note that eftpos will be available for some vendors but not all, so bring some cash too to ensure you don't miss out. Don't forget a towel or two, and don’t expect a hot shower, you’ll have to get under a cold hose before getting back in the car. Changing facilities are also not provided, we recommend getting the worst of the mud off then sitting on a towel for the drive home. 

This event is held on a working farm site. Please follow all signage and instructions given by marshals. Absolutely no dogs are allowed on the site at any time.
Please enter the site directly from Southbridge-Sedgemere Road, which will be sign-posted. Avoid coming through the farm site from Inwoods Rd.

Cancellation information: This event will only be cancelled due to extreme adverse weather conditions. There is no postponement date. If the event is cancelled by the organiser, refunds will be available for all ticket holders, otherwise no refunds are available. An Event Badge is available to all Participant Ticket Holders who turn up on the day. Badge availablity is not guaranteed post-event for those who did not make it to the event.
