2025 Sydney GP Dermoscopy Workshop: Melanoma in Focus
Event description
Develop your dermoscopy skills at our upcoming workshop hosted by Melanoma Institute Australia.
Dermoscopy is an invaluable tool for General Practitioners, offering a detailed assessment of skin lesions in everyday practice.
This introductory workshop is designed for General Practitioners who are new to dermoscopy or looking to build confidence in skin lesion assessment, with a focus on its role in diagnosing and monitoring melanoma in general practice.
Participants will build confidence by gaining foundational knowledge and practical skills in identifying structures and distinguishing skin lesions, including melanoma, through the “Chaos and clues” algorithm, as well as identifying common benign entities.
Our workshop will also integrate essential aspects of dermatopathology, enriching participants' knowledge and enhancing their ability to interpret dermoscopic findings effectively.
The program also includes an overview of confocal imaging and its role in the diagnostic and referral pathway for complex lesions.
General GPs are welcome to join us to develop foundational dermoscopy skills through this engaging workshop.
