Please note that this face-to-face workshop is for TAC Regulated RTOs only.
The Training Accreditation Council is supporting RTOs in their transition to the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2025 (2025 Standards) by hosting a key event for RTOs. The 2025 Standards have been revised with the aim of providing greater clarity for RTOs and VET regulators, strengthening the focus on quality outcomes for learners and employers, and allowing for more flexibility and innovation in training delivery. The TAC Event 2025, The Next Chapter: Insights into the 2025 Standards, is a half-day face-to-face event providing an opportunity to get the latest information on the 2025 Standards, listen to key topics of interest, and network.

1. Transitioning to the revised Standards for RTOs 2025

This comprehensive workshop will provide RTOs with the critical information needed to navigate the transition, implementation, and compliance with the 2025 Standards.
The workshop will provide a clear understanding of the 2025 Standards, including significant changes and their implications for RTOs. It will cover the rationale behind the changes to the 2025 Standards, and detail the structure and organisation of the 2025 Standards. Participants will explore the areas where the 2025 Standards have been updated or enhanced, learn how to effectively manage the transition process, and understand the transition arrangements for TAC-regulated RTOs.

2A: Unpacking Governance: Leadership, Accountability, and Risk Management

This workshop is specifically designed for those in managerial roles or involved in the governance of RTOs. It aligns with Outcome Standard 4.4 of the 2025 Standards.
The workshop will concentrate on Leadership and Accountability and Risk Management. Key topics include Fit and Proper Person Requirements, making informed decisions, leading a culture of integrity, fairness, and transparency, defining roles and responsibilities, and keeping staff informed. We will also touch on the annual declaration and notification of material changes. The workshop will cover Risk Management, managing and reviewing risks to VET students, staff, and the RTO, managing financial risks, and handling real or apparent conflicts of interest.
2B Designing and Delivering Quality Training: Insights from Outcome Standards 1.1 and 1.2

This workshop is specifically designed for Trainers and Assessors, focusing on Outcome Standards 1.1 and 1.2 of the 2025 Standards. These Outcome Standards emphasise the importance of using engaging training methods that accommodate diverse learning styles and needs, ensuring alignment with training package requirements and industry standards.
Participants will gain a comprehensive overview of Outcome Standards 1.1 and 1.2, understanding the key requirements and the significance of engaging training methods. You'll learn techniques for creating training programs that build practical skills and competencies, consistent with the training product and relevant to current industry practice, while also incorporating effective industry engagement. The workshop will explore ideas for creating interactive and engaging training sessions, offer strategies for accommodating different learning styles and needs, and information on how to support diverse learners.
