Special Olympics WA — 2025 Unified Bowling 'Pins & Grins' Event

Who:
Special Olympics is a global movement that provides year-round sports programs for people with intellectual disabilities. We promote inclusion, celebrate everyone’s abilities, and create opportunities for athletes to have fun, build confidence, and make lifelong friends through sport.

What:
A Unified Bowling Event bringing people with and without intellectual disability and/or autism together to play ten-pin bowling and have fun!

*This is a celebration of Unified sport - NOT a State Team Qualifying event

When:

Sunday 19 October
Time: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Zone Bowling Morley

Event Schedule:

This schedule is a draft only. The final schedule will be included in the information pack sent out to all athletes prior to the day once all athlete registrations have been received.

9:00 AM — Check in
9:15 AM - 9:30 AM — Warm Up / Practice
9:30 AM — Start of Play
1:00 PM — End of Play
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM — Lunch and Prize Presentation
2:00 PM — Event Concludes

You will be asked to select the relevant ticket type at checkout.

Athlete: People with intellectual disability
Junior Athlete: People under 16 years of age with or without intellectual disability
Partner: People without intellectual disability

How much:
Free

What to Wear/Bring:

No pressure to follow the dress code but it would be great if you do as it helps us look like a team!

Dress code:
- Collared shirt
- Black bottoms such as long pants, shorts, skirt or skort
- Enclosed shoes to protect your feet
Water Bottle: Stay hydrated during the session.
Positive Attitude: Bring your enthusiasm and get ready to have fun!

Athletes can bring their own equipment or use equipment available at the centre.

How to register:

Please register your expression of interest in this event online via this page by 5pm, Friday, October 3rd, 2025. If demand is high, you may be placed on a wait list.
