2025 WA Landcare Network Annual Gathering: 'Celebrating and Nurturing Rural Landcare'

The WA Landcare Network is excited to invite you to our 2025 Annual Gathering, set to take place over two inspiring days in Katanning on 4–5 August.

This year’s theme is: 'Celebrating and Nurturing Rural Landcare'.

We’re proud to be partnering with Katanning Landcare to deliver a rich and rewarding experience for our landcare community.

Monday 4 August – Inspiration & Connection

Our Annual Gathering will be a full day of engaging presentations and panel discussions around the theme of celebrating and nurturing rural landcare.  You will hear from passionate local landcare champions about their learnings over time, their successes and great innovations.  Network with like-minded landcarers from across WA and connect about your shared challenges and solutions, we all have so much in common!

Tuesday 5 August Landcare in Action Field Trip

Continue your landcare learning and networking on a field trip to iconic Katanning landcare sites, including: Piesse Park, Katanning Research Station, Moojepin Saline Bush Foods Farm, Lake Ewlyamartup, and a local farm to showcase successful revegetation. See firsthand how landcare is transforming the landscape.

ABOUT THE EVENT

• Registrations for our Annual Gathering will commence at 9.00 am with tea and coffee available. Event proceedings will kick off at 9.30 am sharp.

• The Annual Gathering will wrap up by 4.00 pm in time for every one to join us for our 2025 WA Landcarers' Hall of Fame Celebratory Sundowner. Please register for this event separately here https://events.humanitix.com/2025-wa-landcarers-hall-of-fame-celebratory-sundowner

• Please bring along your personal water bottle. The event is fully catered to keep you fuelled and focused and vegetarian and gluten free options will be available.

• Our field trip on Tuesday 5 August will be a self drive field trip comprising a total of 80 kms round trip with a number of interesting stops along the way. The field trip will commence at 8.20 am in Katanning and return around 3.00 pm. Participants are encouraged to car pool. Please let us know on Monday if you are without a vehicle and we will match you up with a fellow landcarer. A packed lunch will be provided at the picnic site at Lake Ewlyamartup. Toilets will be available at most stops along the way.

• Landcare Groups are invited to bring along banners and promotional information for display on the day. Some table space will be available for this purpose but no display boards.

• Please note this event does not include the 2025 WA Landcare Network Annual General Meeting. This will conducted at a time later in the year.

2025 WA Landcarers' Hall of Fame Celebratory Sundowner
Monday 4 August 2024 5.00 - 7.30 pm

Join us after the Annual Gathering to honour a new group of inductees to the WA Landcarers' Hall of Fame in a relaxed, sundowner setting. Drinks and canapés will be served at the Katanning Country Club ahead of our Hall of Fame presentations.
