Aotearoa WikiCon 2025 in Christchurch - Welcome to Ōtautahi, the Heart of the Mainland

WikiCon is the annual gathering for editors of Wikipedia, Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikisource projects organised by Wikimedia Aotearoa New Zealand (WANZ). In 2025, the conference will be held in Ōtautahi Christchurch, with the goal of introducing Wikimedians to Ōtautahi.

This event will provide opportunities for editors and contributors to connect face-to-face, helping to create collaborative relationships. The conference will also provide opportunities for editors and contributors to share and develop their skills and knowledge in working with Wikimedia projects. 

Early bird pricing is available up until 15 November.

Scholarships to attend are available
