Just like Chocolate Walk but, all things fall! 🍂 Think strolling through Downtown Valpo with friends while collecting the coziest seasonal treats featuring fall flavors like caramel apple, cinnamon, maple, pumpkin spice, and everything nice.

Join us on Saturday, October 17 for the 5th annual Autumn Promenade, a festive afternoon filled with fall flavors, local shopping, and small-town charm at its peak.

Autumn Promenade is quickly becoming a fall favorite and tickets are limited, so be sure to grab yours early!

All ticket purchases are non-refundable.

⏰ Start Times

To keep the event flowing smoothly, two waves of attendees will participate in this year’s Autumn Promenade.

• Wave 1: Begins at 12:00 p.m.
• Wave 2: Begins at 1:00 p.m.

Both groups will have the full allotted time, until 4:30 p.m., to visit all stops.

You will select your preferred start time when purchasing your ticket, so please choose carefully.

🗺️ How It Works

1. Check in at the Valparaiso Events Tent (Courthouse Lawn, 16 E Lincolnway) before your ticket start time. (Check-in begins at 11:00 a.m.)

2. Receive your Autumn Promenade map, treat bag, and lanyard.

3. Use your map as your guide as you stroll through Downtown Valpo.

4. Stop at each participating business to:
   • Collect your fall-themed treat
   • Get your lanyard card punched
   • Shop, dine, and explore along the way

Please note: Do not begin visiting stops until the start time listed on your ticket.

💡 Helpful Tip

With a variety of stops to enjoy, sharing treats within groups is encouraged!

Not everyone in your group needs to purchase a ticket if you plan to share. However, only ticketholders will receive treats from official Autumn Promenade stops.

FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

There is no age limit for attendees. But every attendee, no matter the age, needs a ticket to receive chocolate treats from Official Stops.

Is my ticket refundable?

No, all ticket purchases are non-refundable and non-transferrable to a future event produced by Valparaiso Events unless the entire event is cancelled prior to Saturday, October 17.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

Yes. You can buy up to 6 tickets per transaction and they can all be under your name but given to other attendees.

Is my registration/ticket transferable?

Yes.

How am I identified as an Autumn Promenade attendee?

Upon check-in, you will be given a lanyard that signifies you are a participant and also serves as your punch-card so you can receive your treat at each location.

What do I need to bring for Autumn Promenade?

You will be walking about 1-2 miles outdoors, so wear a comfortable pair of shoes & dress for the weather!

Where do I start?

Attendees will start by checking in at the Valparaiso Events Tent, located on the Court House lawn (16 E Lincolnway) to receive their Autumn Promenade map, bag, and punch-card lanyard. Check in begins at 11:00 a.m. CST. From there you can follow the map however you'd like; there's no exact route to follow!

Where should I park?

Downtown Valparaiso has many options for free parking such as city streets and lots. You can find a parking map on our website here: http://valparaisoevents.com/parking-map/. The Porter County Administration Building has a public parking garage located at Indiana Ave. and Lafayette St.

How does my ticket benefit the community?

Valparaiso Events is a non-profit organization which hosts a variety of community events throughout the year, and the majority of them are free to attend. This is made possible with your support of events such as Autumn Promenade. Please know that by purchasing a ticket, you are not only getting a day of chocolate bliss, you are also helping us create a vibrant, thriving community! Valparaiso Events organizes the Summer Outdoor Movies, Summer Concert Series, Popcorn Festival, Downtown Trick-or-Treat, Fall Harvest Festival, Holly Days and so much more!
