2026 Business E-Waste Collection: Bookings Open!

Recycle your old or broken electronics through the City of Canada Bay’s FREE collection service for local businesses.

Council invites local businesses to participate in our 2026 e-waste collection, held from Monday, 17 August to Friday, 21 August 2026.

By participating, you’re helping support a circular economy where valuable materials are recovered and hazardous components are safely managed. Before registering, please consider if items can be repaired, donated, or sold—reuse is always the best outcome for the environment!

How It Works

1. Register: Complete the booking form below to secure your collection.

2. Booking Call: Our contractor will contact you directly to schedule a specific collection day and time within the event week.

3. Prepare for Pickup: Have your e-waste ready and easily accessible at your agreed location (e.g., loading dock or reception).

4. Photo Reminder: Closer to the date, we may ask for a photo of your items and the collection area to help our contractor prepare.

Who Can Participate:

• Businesses must be located within the City of Canada Bay.

• Bookings are essential. Registrations will close once all collection slots are filled.

Accepted Items:

• IT & Telecommunications: Computers, laptops, printers, scanners, power cords, mobile phones, monitors, surveillance cameras, and sound systems.

• General Electronics: Power tools, televisions, domestic appliances, and monitoring or control devices (such as thermostats or alarms).

Items Not Accepted:

• Hazardous Materials: Smoke detectors, radioactive or biohazard-contaminated products, asbestos, chemicals, or broken/glass monitors.

• White Goods: Fridges, freezers, washing machines, dryers, and air conditioners.

• Lighting & Media: Fluorescent tubes, halogen lights, cassette tapes, and floppy discs.

• Other: Batteries, solar panels, lawnmowers, cooktops, and general waste.

• Note: We cannot collect the cardboard boxes or containers used to store your electronics.

Data Security: Council is not responsible for data left on any devices. Please ensure all sensitive information is removed prior to collection. A product destruction certificate is available for a fee, which can be arranged directly with the contractor.
