FAQs
- Can I leave early?
We ask that all volunteers stay for the whole sessions, as our production is relying on your help. We do understand that sometimes things can be out of your control, if one or two people need to leave the session early, that is ok. Please just let us know as soon as you can.
- Can I bring my child?
It's so lovely that people want to share this experience of doing meaningful work with their children, unfortunately, we are only able to accommodate volunteers over the age of 18 in these sessions.
We do have a wonderful schools program though which run in the mornings during term time. If your child's school isn't already involved, we'd love for you to let them know we are ready to welcome them into the kitchen. They can email schools@fareshare.net.au - Who is SecondBite?
SecondBite is a charity that merged in 2024 with FareShare so we are now one organisation. We distribute products from our Secondbbite warehouses as well as meals from our FareShare kitchens to those doing it tough.
