Join us for Design Matters National's premier event of the year as we celebrate the people, projects and achievements that have shaped 2026.
After another incredible year for our industry, it's time to come together for an unforgettable evening of recognition, great food, entertainment and celebration. Returning with the same award-winning format that sold out in 2025, the evening promises pre-dinner drinks, live entertainment, a premium three-course dining experience, and the presentation of the 2026 Building Design Awards winners.

Venue
The awards return to the iconic Showtime Events Centre, one of Melbourne's premier waterfront event venues. Originally a historic docking shed, the venue blends industrial heritage with contemporary elegance, featuring soaring timber ceilings, original hardwood floors and stunning views across the Yarra River. Located in the heart of South Wharf, it's just moments from the Melbourne CBD, making it the perfect setting for an unforgettable evening of celebration.
Getting There
Showtime Events Centre is located at 61 South Wharf Promenade, South Wharf, within easy walking distance of the Melbourne CBD.
Public transport: Approximately a 10-minute walk from Southern Cross Station, with nearby tram services along Spencer Street and Clarendon Street.
Parking: The DFO South Wharf car park is located approximately 50 metres from the venue and offers 24-hour parking. Additional public parking is available throughout the South Wharf and Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre precinct.

Please provide any dietary requirements when completing your booking so the venue can do their best to accommodate them. The kitchen will make every effort to cater for a wide range of dietary needs.
