2026 Export Controls Year in Review - Christopher Stagg

Join us for the 'US Export Controls 2026 Year End Review, presented by Christopher Stagg of VARICK PLLC, a top Washington D.C. law firm focusing on high-stakes export controls issues.

Before pursuing a career in law, Mr. Stagg worked at the U.S. Department of State’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls and was an architect of many revisions to the U.S. Munitions List and Commerce Control List, as well as key regulations within the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and Export Administration Regulations.

He also authored the U.S. policy for designating and determining items on the U.S. Munitions List and authored advisory opinions to companies, individuals, and foreign governments on ITAR interpretation.

Mr. Stagg will provide us with a summary of key US export controls changes, the impact of these changes and recent executive orders on the defence industry of the US and its allies, and his thoughts on what we may see in 2027. He will also provide some recommendations on how to effectively adapt to the recent ITAR and EAR changes.
