Kangaroo Valley Folk Festival 2026

Since its beginnings in 2007, the Kangaroo Valley Folk Festival (KVFF) has grown from a small gathering of folk enthusiasts into a much-loved annual celebration, attracting visitors from across Australia. Held over three days on the third weekend of October, the festival transforms the beautiful Kangaroo Valley into a vibrant hub of music, storytelling, dance and community.

KVFF is a family-friendly festival celebrating folk, roots and acoustic music, alongside poetry, dance, storytelling, workshops and community events. Around 70 local, Indigenous, national and international artists perform across the weekend, with multiple performances giving you  plenty of opportunities to discover new favourites.

A dedicated dance venue features Bush, Ceili, Irish, World, Swing, Contra and more, while the wider festival includes poetry, interactive workshops, roving performers, open mic sessions, youth performances, an open-air bar with stunning valley views, and a great selection of market and food stalls.

Children have always been an important part of KVFF, and we're continuing to build experiences that inspire the next generation of folk lovers. The festival welcomes all ages, with free entry for children 17 and under when accompanied by a paying adult. KVFF is committed to being a safe, inclusive space for young families.

While there's always something happening, KVFF never feels overwhelming. There are plenty of spaces to relax and recharge, making it easy to enjoy the weekend at your own pace.
