Yokine Laneway Mural Fundraising Dinner – 2026

We Are Yokine is assisting Sam and Leonie, two dedicated community volunteers who are passionate about urban and laneway greening.

Sam and Leonie are inviting you to join them for an evening of great food, local connection and community spirit as we come together to raise funds for a new mural in Yokine.

Over the past two years, the laneway connecting Raymond Street and Tuart Street in Yokine has been brought to life through the efforts of local residents and volunteers.

Once a bare and weedy space, the laneway is now home to more than 1,500 Western Australian native plants. Planted, watered and cared for by the community, the space is steadily becoming a greener, more welcoming place for people, wildlife and the neighbourhood to enjoy.

The mural is the next exciting step in enhancing the laneway.

Featuring the work of local mural artist Laura Folan (Lora Flora), the artwork will celebrate Western Australia's unique native flora and fauna, helping create a beautiful and inspiring public space for years to come.
