Description

We pride ourselves on the quality and integrity of our BJMA Victoria State training days.

You will receive 3 hours of quality instruction on the style and rank/skill level appropriate to you.

Attendees must be over 12 years old.

All attendees must read and agree to the Waiver conditions set out in the questions section.

Doors open from 10am
bow in at 10.30am. Day will finish at 1.30pm


Zen Do Kai – Train with grading co-ordinators, the coloured belt group or join in with one of our other styles.
Hanshi Nigel Kendall – coloured belts
Shihan Andrew Johnstone – Black Belt
Kyoshi Craig Bernotti – 1st Degree
Shihan Cam Pizzo – 2nd Degree
Kyoshi Peter Smedley – 3rd Degree
Kyoshi Ian Gosch – 4th Degree
Kyoshi John Rizzo – 5th Degree
Soke Richard & Soke Billy – 6th degrees to 10th degrees.

Krav Maga – Training may cover - Close quarter hand to hand combat drills. Various partner drills with boxing gloves, rapid fire striking and counter striking. It could also include scenario training, weapon defence tactics and pad work.

Muay Thai – Sessions will focus on skills to elevate your Muay Thai game from 'basic striking' to using tricks and fight IQ to dictate how a fight would play out. Controlling the narrative of a fight and how to make your opponent fight your style of fight. Using your various striking ranges for clinch, sweeps, elbows, knees, punches and kicks. Training sets may use pads, glove on glove drills and sparring.

Eskrima – WEKAF tournament style training – stick and knife competition fighting Sinawali drills – stick striking.. basic forms /patterns. open hand combat - attack and self defence

How we suggest you get the most out of a training day.
Work on skills specific to your next grading. Your co-ordinator and their assistants will help guide you on the requirements you need to master. As you improve they will put you through your paces in preparation for your next grading.

Note to ZDK Students

If you are a ZDK student (Brown Belt and above) and wish to grade at the state grading you must attend a minimum of two ZDK State training days with your coordinator plus the final assessment day (last training day prior to grading).

If you are not grading this year and you are a Black belt to 8th degree you must attend and participate in two state training days for the year to be counted towards your next grading.

What are the age restrictions for attendance?

Zen Do Kai Coordinator training - training open to 

Coloured Ranks - 12 years and above
Black Belt - 15 year olds and over (must be 16 yrs old to grade at state grading)
1st Degree - 14 years and over (must be 16 to grade at state grading)
2nd Degree - 16 years and over (must be 18 to grade at state grading)
3rd Degree and above - 18 yrs and over

Muay Thai and Eskrima sessions are open for 12 year olds and over
Krav Maga has a min. age of 16yrs.
