ONLINE Creative Writing Workshops

Since 2003, Los Angeles Writers Group has hosted this generative workshop for writers of all genres and skill levels. This isn't a lecture, it’s a hands-on laboratory where we get right down to the work.

What to Expect

Our workshops are built on original prompts themed around craft, education, or creative value, designed to draw out stories you never knew were there, or stories you know are there and waiting to emerge.

• Generate New Material: Leave every session with fresh pages.

• Master the Scene: Get actionable tips and tricks to improve your scene work.

• Positive Reinforcement: Because the work is new, we focus on what’s working and why, providing validation for the potential in your prose.

• No Lectures, Just Writing: We skip the long speeches and dive straight into the prompts.

• Community: Meet and grow alongside a small, dedicated group of fellow writers.

Workshop Details

• Skill Level: All writers 18+ (any genre, any level).

• Class Size: Limited to 8 participants to ensure individual attention.

• Registration Deadline: 48 hours before each workshop.

• When: Every Saturday on Zoom @ 10:00 am PST for 2.5 hrs

• Cost: $45
