2026 Raton Regional Economic Development Summit

Join Us for a Powerful Two-Day Summit Focused on Growing Northern New Mexico’s Economic Future!

We are only three weeks away from the 2026 Raton Regional Economic Development Summit, and this year’s program is shaping up to be one of our strongest yet.

Join us September 29–30 at the Raton Convention Center for two free days of conversations, connections, and practical resources focused on building a stronger rural and regional economy.

Day 1 will focus on building the conditions for rural prosperity, with sessions addressing:

• Artificial intelligence and its practical applications for rural communities and businesses;

• Transportation, regional connectivity, and the Ports-to-Plains corridor;

• Vacant properties, housing development, and neighborhood revitalization;

• Outdoor recreation as a driver of quality of life and economic growth; and

• State programs that can help rural communities turn local assets into opportunity.

We are also pleased to welcome keynote speaker Dr. Chip Espinoza, a nationally recognized expert on generational diversity, leadership, and the future of work.

Day 2 will turn the focus to workforce and business opportunity, including:

• Regional education and workforce-development efforts;

• Resources to help employers recruit, train, and upskill workers;

• Conversations with new and expanding regional employers;

• A Career Expo and Job Fair;

• Workforce and business-resource tables; and

• Roundtable discussions on rural film, workforce pathways, entrepreneurship, and community economic opportunity.

The Summit will bring together business owners, employers, educators, students, elected officials, economic development professionals, nonprofit leaders, and regional partners from northeastern New Mexico, southeastern Colorado, and across the state.
