2026 Salida Community Gardens

Guidestone Colorado has three Community Gardens opportunities here in Salida, CO. Two of the Gardens are on City of Salida land. The third Garden is on a privately owned piece of land that has been generously provided as Garden space for the community.

1. 2nd and I Street Community Garden

2. Sonia's Garden at the Touber Building

3. Crestone Mesa Community Garden

Registration is now open for gardeners to Salida's oldest Community Garden at the corner of 2nd and I Street in downtown Salida.

• These beds are 10'x20' and cost $90 per year.

• The $90 plot covers utility bills, which are approximately $1,400 per year for the garden, plus a small administration fee to Guidestone Colorado.

• Returning gardeners will be granted their same plots unless otherwise discussed. Once past, gardeners get the opportunity to register, then the application will go live to new gardeners. 

• If you are a returning gardener and you would like a different plot, please indicate that on the checkout questions. We will try our best to accommodate.

• After registration, we will get in contact with you about rules and regulations, plot assignments, gate codes, orientation, and work days. 

• Returning gardeners have until March 10th to register for their garden plot. After March 10th, applications from new gardeners will be accepted in the order received. 

• All payments must be made via our online registration system.

Registration is now open for returning gardeners to Salida's Community Gardens in the Crestone Mesa neighborhood and at Sonia's Garden at the Touber Building!

The Salida Community Gardens are a joint project of Guidestone Colorado and the City of Salida.

General Details:

• Each garden plot is a 4'x12' raised bed and costs $60

• The $60 fee/plot covers access to all needed tools, water costs, and supports Guidestone staff time.

• The City of Salida provides water and infrastructure, and all management support is provided by Guidestone Colorado.

• The growing season is typically mid-April to mid-October, based on temperatures and when water is turned on/off by the City of Salida.

• Garden plots can be accessed at any time - enjoy the garden whenever works best for your schedule.
  

For All Registrants:

• Please secure your garden plot registration by providing your information and payment below.

• Garden plot registrations will be confirmed in the order they are received.

• After registration, we will get in contact with you to confirm plot assignments, provide gate codes, and provide dates for an early season orientation and work days throughout the summer.

Sonia's Garden at the Touber Building

• Sonia’s Garden at the Touber Building has 17 total plots and is located at 448 E. 1st St.

• 2 plots are saved for the City Wellness Program. 4 plots are set aside for the Family and Youth Initiative Garden Program. There are 11 total available plots.

• All returning gardeners will be granted the same plot as the year before, unless otherwise discussed with Maytal Agasi.

Crestone Mesa Community Garden

• Crestone Mesa Garden has 28 total plots available and is located at 112 Crestone Mesa Drive.

• All returning gardeners will be granted the same plot as the year before, unless otherwise discussed with Maytal Agasi.
