2026 WARRNAMBOOL 16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM - WALK AGAINST GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE
Description
The Orange Door, in partnership with local organisations working to end gender-based violence, invite you to join us for the Warrnambool Walk Against Gender-based violence.
In Victoria, this annual walk is an important event during the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence – a global campaign calling for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls.
This years theme is “UNiTE to End Violence Against Women and Girls: Ensure justice, protect survivors, end impunity.” By joining the Walk, you’ll take a stand against family violence and violence against women, showing solidarity with people who have experienced violence.
The event will begin at James Swan Reserve, where community members will gather before walking together through central Warrnambool, before concluding at the Lighthouse Theatre.
Following the walk, attendees are invited to the Lighthouse Theatre for light refreshments and a special guest presentation from Sherele Moody. The event will also feature a moderated panel discussion with local family and sexual violence advocates, with an opportunity for audience questions.
Come along to walk, listen, learn and stand with our community as we work together to ensure justice, protect survivors and end gender-based violence.
