This lecture will discuss the history of the Elephant Barn, the New Deal WPA Sculpture, and the 415 Society, beginning when the Oakland Zoo was in Joaquin Miller Park, 1925-1939.

Amelia Sue Marshall, author of East Bay Hills, A Brief History, is a longtime OHA board member, and has been active in parks, equestrian, and Joaquin Miller Park advocacy for decades.
