2027 TAASPYC Symposium
Description
TAASPYC invites you to join us for our Annual Symposium, a premier gathering for leaders and advocates in early childhood education, to be held in Richardson, TX with a site visit to the 2026 H-E-B Excellence in Education Texas District of the Year: Garland ISD!
This one-of-a-kind event brings together school districts, community organizations, child care centers, early learning specialists, and higher education partners to collaborate, share best practices, and inspire innovation in the field of early childhood.
Through our engaging keynotes, thought-provoking breakout sessions, site visits, and networking opportunities, the 2027 TAASPYC Symposium will highlight strategies to strengthen teaching, learning, and leadership for our youngest learners. Participants will leave with fresh ideas, meaningful connections, and renewed energy to support children, families, and communities across Texas and beyond.
✨ Together, we are building the future of early childhood—one relationship, one classroom, and one community at a time.
Our keynote speaker, sponsored by Teaching Strategies, is Dan Wuori who was named as one of the top 49 most influential essential thought leaders in early childhood in the USA. One of the most effective communicators in American early childhood, Dan Wuori has built a national reputation for translating the science of early development into language that policymakers and the general public can actually use. His book, The Daycare Myth, published by Teachers College Press at Columbia University, makes the case that the word "daycare" has fundamentally distorted the national conversation about early childhood, framing care settings as custodial rather than educational and suppressing the political will to invest in them. Wuori is one of the most in-demand early childhood keynote speakers in the country in 2026, with engagements spanning Minnesota, Illinois, Georgia, Indiana, Nevada, and beyond. As Founder and President of Early Childhood Policy Solutions LLC, Senior Advisor to The Hunt Institute, and Strategic Advisor on Early Childhood and the Saul Zaentz Charitable Foundation, he occupies a rare position as both a compelling public communicator and a genuine policy architect whose influence extends from classroom practitioners to state legislatures.
