Event description
In a celebration of spoken word and poetry, seven First Nations poets will read two of their own poems and one of their favourites by another poet. Presented by Melbourne’s own Blak & Bright First Nations Literary Festival, join the likes of Maya Hodge, Laniyuk, Evelyn Araluen, Declan Fry, Ryan Prehn, Bebe Backhouse and Nelson Baker under The Atrium for an inspiring start to the first weekend of YIRRAMBOI Festival 2023.

ACCESSIBILITY
The Atrium is wheelchair accessible, with Flinders Street offering the best point of entry. The Atrium has accessible toilets located next to IceBar and is equipped with a hearing loop.
ACCESS TO FED SQUARE:
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Fed Square is part of Melbourne’s Free Tram Zone, which includes the area from the iconic Queen Victoria Market to Victoria Harbour in Docklands, up to Spring Street and over Flinders Street Station and Fed Square. Travel on trams within this zone is free, and you won’t need a myki, however, if your journey starts or finishes outside the boundaries of the Free Tram Zone, you must touch on your myki at the reader in the normal way to make sure you have a valid ticket.
ACCESSIBLE PARKING
FedSquare has its own multi-level car park, which is accessible from Russell Street or Batman Ave (Exhibition Street extension – City Link). The Federation Square Car Park is open 24hrs and has accessible spaces located next to the lift on each level.
ACCESSIBLE DROP OFF
If you are accessing the Main Square the safest place to pick up and drop off passengers is the Taxi Rank across the road on Swanston Street.
ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE
The undulating surface of the Main Square is made up of sandstone cobblestones, with a marked access path. Swanston Street offers the best access to the Main Square. There are accessible toilets located next to Time Out Café.
