Event description

24 Hours on Court for Wayne.

This time I’m picking up my squash racket for a challenge like no other: 24 hours of nonstop squash. Why? Because someone I care for has been facing a far tougher battle.

My father-in-law was recently diagnosed with Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia (CLL). For years he lived undiagnosed, pushing through symptoms without answers. Now that we finally know what he’s fighting, I want to turn my energy into something that can help him—and others—on their journeys.

According to CLL Advocates NZ, only 10-15 people out of 250 on average per year benefit from the budget allocation. And many are not even able to receive the same treatment options here in NZ.

Squash has always been a sport of endurance, resilience, and determination. Playing for 24 hours is my way of honoring his fight, raising awareness, and bringing people together to support the cause.

You can help by:

Donating: Any amount you would like to.

Predicting: Predicting how many points and games will be played in 24 hours.

Joining me on court: Book a slot to play a game, cheer from the sidelines, or come be part of the atmosphere.

Buy raffle tickets, or sponsor a prize towards the raffle.

No matter how small, your contribution will make a difference. Together we can transform his story of late diagnosis into one of community, awareness, and action.

I’ll be pushing myself through the night, but I won’t be alone—your support will keep me going with every serve, rally, and game. Let’s make this 24 hours count.
