2508 Film Premier at BIG ARTS Sanibel Island 5/11/23
Event description
Join Captains For Clean Water at BIG ARTS on Sanibel Island as we debut our latest film, SB2508: a death threat to Everglades restoration. The film tells the story of a historic battle over a bad bill and an underdog's triumph during the 2022 legislative session, when CFCW supporters rallied to oppose Senate Bill 2508 and safeguard the future of Everglades restoration. Viewers will get an inside look into how the voices of many can create an uproar and stop politically-influential special interests in their tracks.
Following the film, there will be a Q&A panel led by Captains For Clean Water Executive Director Daniel Andrews, South Florida Water Management District Board Chair Chauncey Goss, and Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation CEO James Evans, during which we encourage you to spark conversation and get your questions answered.
