Event description

Free the Mind

Meditation as a Path Beyond Inner Tyranny

Freedom isn’t just about what we do—it’s about how we relate to what’s happening inside.

In this final session, we explore meditation as a practical tool for developing inner freedom. Drawing on both Western and Eastern traditions, we’ll look at how stillness and self-awareness can help us loosen the grip of Plato’s “inner tyrants”—anger, fear, desire—and create space for clarity, calm, and choice.

We’ll also reflect on the Vedic understanding of Moksha—freedom at the deepest level—and how regular meditation supports this lifelong journey.

Expect a blend of guided practice and quiet reflection, with space to explore your own experience.

Whether you’re new to meditation or returning to it, this is a chance to pause, reset, and reconnect with the kind of freedom that starts from within.

A note on prices and sustainability of the program

Our commitment is to make this program accessible to everyone in our community regardless of an individual's financial situation. However we don't want payments to be a barrier to participation in the program, if you are in financial hardship please reach out to Mowana and arrangements can be made.
We also strongly believe that our facilitators who dedicate their lives to their crafts should be fairly compensated for their services. If you can afford more than the minimum ticket price, your generosity will contribute to the program's ongoing sustainability.
