25S3 Session 5 - Moksha
Event description
Moksha
What does it mean to be truly free—not just in the world, but from it?
In this session, we explore Moksha, a central idea in Indian philosophy that points to ultimate freedom: freedom from inner disturbance, from the grip of ego, and from the compulsions that shape our lives.
We’ll also look at Svatantra—the idea of being “self-woven” or self-ruled—and how disciplined practice, rather than restriction, becomes the path to liberation.
Through discussion and reflection, we’ll connect these teachings with Plato’s view of inner tyranny and justice, drawing unexpected parallels between East and West.
This isn’t abstract theory—it’s about real inner clarity.

Our commitment is to make this program accessible to everyone in our community regardless of an individual's financial situation. However we don't want payments to be a barrier to participation in the program, if you are in financial hardship please reach out to Mowana and arrangements can be made.
We also strongly believe that our facilitators who dedicate their lives to their crafts should be fairly compensated for their services. If you can afford more than the minimum ticket price, your generosity will contribute to the program's ongoing sustainability.
