Balance and the Seven Directions

Indigenous wisdom has a lot to say about balance and how ritual and ceremony can help us find our centre in life's inevitable turbulence. Tonight we are honoured to be joined by Fabioa Barba, a wisdom keeper from indigenous Mexican cultures, medicine woman and custodian of ancestral ceremonies. Fabiola will lead us through a ceremony based on the 7 directions system common to ancient Mayan and Aztec cultures. We will explore our connection to ancestors and how honouring the past can bring balance to the present, between what has been and what is.

In this celebration, we'll experience ancestral smoke cleansing, altar creation inviting our loved ones, cacao circle and ancestral sound journey.

A note on prices and sustainability of the program

Our commitment is to make this program accessible to everyone in our community regardless of an individual's financial situation. However we don't want payments to be a barrier to participation in the program, if you are in financial hardship please reach out to Mowana and arrangements can be made.
We also strongly believe that our facilitators who dedicate their lives to their crafts should be fairly compensated for their services. If you can afford more than the minimum ticket price, your generosity will contribute to the program's ongoing sustainability.
