Ephemera

Instagram | YouTube | Spotify

Ephemera is a project from Rebecca Wing exploring free-flowing songwriting on themes of childhood memories and philosophical musings. Bridging ethereal jazz improvisation with granular and tape-emulated looping, the project attends to the ephemerality of tape as a musical focus, and metaphor for reminiscing. They adapt and explore new electronic sounds alongside reflective spoken word and lyrics. Recently recording in Summer, Ephemera will be releasing their first live EP in the autumn.

Beccy Wing - Sax and vocals
Vato Klemera - Keys
Ollie Talbot - Drums
Angus Sharp - Bass

The Blue Hokum Boys

Website | YouTube | Instagram

Inspired by the records of the 1920's and 30's, The Blue Hokum Boys are a piano/guitar duo playing lowdown blues and goodtime hokum originals and covers, transporting you back to the pre-war days of music with their blend of toe tapping boogies, heart breaking blues and rambunctious singalongs.

Dead Man's Switch

Blues Jazz and soul from hugely talented young trio.

Phoebe Massey

Phoebe Massey is an independent electronic and experimental producer and performer. She layers and collages sound to create emotionally led, otherworldly spaces, developing a style that is entirely her own. Singing since a young age, she uses her voice live, harmonising, distorting, and looping it alongside hardware such as a synthesiser, drum machine, and sampler. With a background in textile design, Phoebe approaches sound as material. She works slowly and intuitively, stitching together memories, observations, spoken words, and field recordings.

Iconic speakeasy Ram Jam Records is hidden away behind the award winning Smok’d pub at The Grey Horse Kingston (and yes we serve all their award winning food and drink) .

If you would like to book a table (for dining only) please contact the venue at greyhorse@smokd.co.uk and specify you would like to be seated in Ram Jam Records or choose this option when making your online booking.
