The National Forest @ FREMONT ABBEY
Description
The National Forest: loganbowden.com
Logan Bowden is the singer songwriter and producer from Huntsville, Alabama behind the project "The National Forest." After spending the early part of his twenties touring the southeast, Logan relocated to the Pacific Northwest where he built a recording studio from the ground up, and began recording and producing daily with the inspiration of the landscape around him. The years spent in PNW created a depth of experience that has influenced his music profoundly. In 2025 Logan decided to have an Alabama homecoming and get back to his roots. Logan is now working full time under the solo project “The National Forest."
Inspired by the works of Andy Shauf and Mac DeMarco, Logan uses heavy emphasis on lo-fi and lush lyrical dream moods, and influence from Iron & Wine, Gregory Alan Isakov, and José González. What sets Logan apart is the way he builds emotional energy into his sincere and buoyant folk rhythms by layering tucked, floating harmonies, gentle percussion, and nostalgic poetic images. His live shows incorporate both new and older songs with piano and stringed instruments, and creating looped songs live on stage.
