Professional growth doesn't end after a workshop—it happens through continuous learning, reflection, and collaboration. This three-part webinar series introduces special education teachers and paraprofessionals to two powerful professional learning resources: The IRIS Center and Lumia.
$30 for All Three VIRTUAL Sessions!
3:30 - 4:30 pm on 10/29/26, 11/5/26, 11/12/26
1 hr Professional Development per session for a total of 3 hrs for the entire series.
**All sessions will be recorded, no matter when you sign up or which sessions you can attend, you will have access to all 3 recorded sessions.
Participants will learn:
How to navigate IRIS's evidence-based modules, case studies, and instructional tools while using Lumia
How to use Lumia to collaborate with peers, ask questions, reflect on practice, and access ongoing support.
How these platforms provide a sustainable approach to professional learning that strengthens instructional practice and improves outcomes for students with disabilities.
By the end of the series, participants will have confidence using both platforms to support their own professional growth long after the webinars conclude.
10/29/26 Part 1 Getting Started with IRIS & Lumia: Building Your Professional Learning Toolkit
This introductory session explores the IRIS Center's evidence-based learning resources and discovers how Lumia extends that learning through mentorship, collaboration, and professional dialogue. Topics include Introduction to & Navigating IRIS and Lumia, Understanding how both tools support implementation of High-Leverage Practices
Participants will leave with:
An IRIS account (if applicable)
A Lumia account and profile
A personalized professional learning plan
Confidence navigating both platforms
11/5/26 Part 2 Applying What You Learn: Using IRIS Resources in Your Daily Practice
This session focuses on using IRIS resources to solve real classroom challenges and leveraging Lumia to collaborate with colleagues as those practices are implemented.
Participants will work through authentic classroom scenarios while identifying relevant IRIS resources and discussing implementation strategies within Lumia.
Participants will leave with:
Experience locating resources independently
Strategies for applying learning immediately
Confidence using Lumia as an ongoing support network
11/12/26 Part 3 Sustaining Your Growth: Creating a Continuous Professional Learning Plan
This final session helps participants develop personalized plans for continued learning using IRIS and Lumia throughout the school year. Participants will:
