PRESENTERS: Dr. Kathleen Lynne Lane with Kathryn L. Johnson, M.A., Rebecca Sherod Adams, M.S.E., Elise Sarasin, M.S.E., and Allison M. Bernard, M. Ed.
In this series, Dr. Lane introduces three practical effective strategies to maximize engagement and prevent behavior challenges from occurring. These strategies include: precorrection, instructional choice, and active supervision.
In the final session we introduce a 6-step instructional approach to responding to challenging behavior as part of Tier 1 practices. The goal of this series is to support teachers in (a) preventing challenge behaviors from occurring and (b) knowing how to respond when challenges arise.
