8/21 The Moth StorySLAM

@Fremont Abbey Arts Center

8p show, 7p doors

All ages, some seating available, bar w/ID + snacks and various non-alcoholic options.

The Moth StorySLAM is an open-mic storytelling competition in which anyone can share a true, personal, 5-minute story on the night's theme. Sign up for a chance to tell a story or sit back and enjoy the show! Tonight’s theme is…

Doors Open: 7:00 PM

Show Starts: 8:00 PM

SERENDIPITY: Prepare a five-minute story about the time an accident felt like fate. A wrong turn lands you at your new best friend's doorstep. The botched job interview that led you to your true calling. Losing your wallet -- only for it to be found by a long-lost cousin. Coffee spilled on the shirt of your future soulmate. Happy accidents. Meet-cutes. Windfalls. Fortuitous flukes. Is it magic? Is it kismet? No...it's pure serendipity.

Tickets for Seattle StorySLAMs go on sale 3 weeks prior to the show date at 3 PM ET.

Seating is not guaranteed and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please be sure to arrive at least 10 minutes before the show. You can sign up to tell a story with the volunteers at the door.

SOLD OUT? These shows sell out often. When sold out, as many as 10 tickets may be available at the door for all of our StorySLAMs on a first-come, first-served basis (wait list goes out at 7p, guests let in ~8:10p as capacity allows).
