Description

Kimaya Diggs www.kimayadiggs.com

Recently off tour dates with Mavis Staples, Emily King, Trombone Shorty, and more, musician Kimaya Diggs navigates her world with stories. Her songwriting serves as both a portal and a roadmap toward a future self; a not-yet-envisioned world and way of being. Her new album, Green (out October 2), is an extended love missive to the New England landscape, asking questions of belonging and goodness. Green showcases twelve tracks of glittering, genre-bending indie pop, carried by Diggs’ powerful, honeyed vocals, and honest, attentive lyricism.

Her songwriting has earned her many accolades, including a New England Music Awards nod, gigs at legendary folk haunts like Club Passim, and appearances at Green River Festival, Rubblebucket’s Dream Picnic, and the Emily Dickinson Poetry Festival. festival.

On Green, it’s clear Diggs has been forced to harden herself against the heartbreak that comes along with loving and being loved, but it would be foolish to mistake her hard-won grit for surliness aimed toward the world. It’s this very grit that shapes her love into something more capacious and ever-expanding. Her softness is in turn reserved for herself, the ones closest to her, and the earth. It’s this faithful preservation that serves as Green’s trustworthy tether.

Carrie Jennings carriejennings.com

Carrie Jennings is a vocalist & flugelhorn player based in Seattle, WA.

Her sound is sultry and inviting, with lush vocals and velvety horn lines that flow together seamlessly. There is something grounded yet weightless about her presence as she radiates joy from the stage. Pulling inspiration from jazz and neo-soul, her music is centered around groove and storytelling. There is a certainty and openness about her that brings a room full of strangers together to explore the depths of our human experience through song.

Carrie released her second EP Slow Burn in June of 2026, and has been touring throughout the Pacific Northwest to share her music with new audiences. She has performed regionally at venues including Tractor Tavern (Seattle), Spanish Ballroom (Tacoma), and Kelly’s Olympian (Portland), and at the Northwest Folklife Festival. She also performs with her husband in Jennings Jazz Duo, with her new band Queen of Hearts, and most recently toured Europe with Tacoma-based band Black Viiolet.

Katie Kuffel www.katiekuffel.com

Kuffel expresses an empowering depth and self-awareness throughout her newest album. Topics on Alligator range from intergenerational trauma viewed through kid glasses, a song about how a volcano would experience time, seasonal depression, and about her own disability. No matter the scale of her theme, Katie finds the universal thread to captivate her listener, reminding us we’re all human, and to embrace the messiness inherent in being alive during this turbulent, modern era.

“The balladry of Seattle singer/songwriter Katie Kuffel contains the sort of lived-in elegance that makes you feel you’ve been wearing her music all your life without even realizing it.” – Douglas Martin, KEXP
