March 18th Showcase - Scott Eason

Headliner Scott Eason

Featuring Lena Beamish, Danny Hucks, Connor Twele

Scott Eason is a comedian (you probably figured that out) from Huntsville, Alabama (you might not have known that) and he knows what you’re thinking…and to answer your question he has no idea why he doesn’t have a southern accent. You might have heard him on SiriusXM and the Comedy Central Roast Battle Podcast. He co-hosts a critically acclaimed podcast called “Going All The Way”, available on all major platforms, which is rad as hell.
He’s a regular at clubs across the southeast, including Zanies Nashville, The Laughing Skull in Atlanta, Stand Up Live Huntsville and places you’ve never heard of before. Scott’s performed damn near everywhere: clubs, bars, basements, corporate events and comedy festivals all over the country, such as the Altercation Comedy Festival, Asheville Comedy Festival, Flyover Comedy Festival, Laughing Skull Comedy Festival, Limestone Comedy Festival, SF Sketchfest, the Republic Waste Service’s Christmas Party and many more.
He’s also in a Beastie Boys tribute band (where does he find the time). Is that enough, Dad? Am I successful enough for you?

From Louisville, Kentucky, Danny Hucks is a lovable ball of energy on stage and a nervous wreck off.

Connor Twele got a 32 on his ACT but never really put the score to use in any practical fashion aside from putting it in bios. He has become a regular in the Cincinnati comedy scene during his short tenure as a stand up comic.

Based out of Louisville KY, Lena Beamish started stand-up in 2021 after covid put a halt to her first passion, sketch comedy.
By blending personal experiences with short jokes and one-liners, she is able to connect with the audience in spite of being - in her own words - “fundamentally weird”. With less than 2 years experience in standup, her credits include Sirius XM, Don’t Tell Comedy, and Cincy Brew Ha-Ha, as well as placing 3rd in Louisville’s Funniest Person 2022.
When not onstage, Lena can be found drawing, writing music, and making friends with every cat she meets.

Why Helltown?

In the late 1800s, our beloved community of #Northside45223 was nicknamed Helltown, because of the immigrant and unwelcome population and its rowdy bars. It was seen as a negative moniker. At Bombs Away! We believe that the unwelcome, the rapscallions, the neer-do-wells and the rowdy taverns are what make Northside home.

Tickets - $10, Reserves your seat until 10 min before show time. If you have not arrived or contacted us before this time your seat may be given to someone on the wait list.

The Venue - Helltown - A Comedy Showcase takes place at Bombs Away! Comedy club inside The Comet in Northside. The Comet is a legendary dive bar in the Northside neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio. The Comet has a full service bar, as well as a full kitchen featuring tacos, massive burritos, and the best queso dip in Cincinnati. 4579 Hamilton Ave. is the address for The Comet and Bombs Away!
