Description: 
Montessori believed that young children build self-discipline from their experience of freedom in the environment. In our Montessori environments we are concerned about the children who do not engage with materials, do not choose 'work', do not seem to understand the social limits within which they live. This workshop will focus on what Montessori teachers, and parents can do to aid the growth of self-discipline in their environments so that the children reveal themselves as self-motivated, confident, committed 'workers' as well as contributing members of a social group.
